General questions

Yes, registration requires a username and password. The username must be an email address.

If you can’t complete all 5 modules at one given time, you can log out and log back in later to complete the remaining modules. In order to log in and out of your MYCOM account and receive final results by email, registering with a valid email address is advised.

MyCOM, however, does not validate email address. In order to receive MyCOM module and final results by email, a valid email address is required. Email results are delivered automatically from a secure server. We have no way of contacting you if an invalid email is used.

 

All you need is an internet connection and an internet browser (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are preferred). There is no software to install.

The MYCOM Diagnostic takes between 40-50 minutes to complete. The Diagnostic is made up of 5 modules, and each module takes approximately 8-10 minutes to complete. You can complete the modules one at a time, or do all 5 at once!

Sadly, you will receive partial results only for each Module completed. To receive a fully analyzed, detailed report you must complete all five modules in the Diagnostic and register with a valid email.

Module results rate your performance on a general scale only, and do not provide a detailed report by dimensions of inclusion. Each Module results compares your results both to your pre-test city assessment, and to how other cities have performed on that module.

Total Diagnostic results provide a final city score and detailed report by 10 dimensions of inclusion. To see a detailed analysis of your city’s strengths and weaknesses across all 10 dimension of inclusion you need to complete all five modules. “The Big Picture” results also compare your total diagnostic score to your pre-test assessment and to how other cities have performed overall.

Please do!  On the MYCOM Diagnostic results page, you will find a button called “Share my Results” so you can share your results by email, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

You will receive an email upon registration, after completing each module, and a final email with your Total Diagnostic results when you have completed all five modules. If you have completed all 5 modules, you will be able to see your final Diagnostic results page by logging into your MYCOM Account. Please log in here.

Yes, MYCOM Diagnostic uses cookies to improve performance and enhance your user experience.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you have answered all questions and completed each module by hitting the “Submit” button after the last question per module.

Please check your spam inbox. Many email programs will automatically place unknown senders in your spam folder. You can minimize this inconvenience by saving our email address “mycity@ryerson.ca ” to your contact list. We also recommend telling your system that “ryerson.ca” is a safe domain from which you would like to receive e-mail. Please check with your Internet service provider if you have further questions about your spam filter settings – and it’s also a good idea to check your spam folder periodically.
